The Big Three of Indiana College Basketball: Hoosiers, Bulldogs, and Indianapolis hookups

When one thinks back to Indiana college basketball lore, they remember mainly Larry Bird, for the Indiana State Sycamores. Also, they obviously would reflect on Bobby Knight and his great Hoosier teams. Although the team ended up losing both title games, it was an amazing accomplishment, which will undoubtedly have put Butler on the map and will now be a recruiting powerhouse for coach Brad Stevens.

In terms of the success of the Bulldogs, the fans knew that Matt Howard was who the coach truly had a fetish for. Here was a guy who played like a senior all of the four years that he attended Butler, and in his actual senior year, he would make late-game plays that were so clutch, even to the members of Indianapolis Independent hookups.

Rounding out the rest of Butler’s current roster is Ronald Nored, the banged up junior, and Marshall, the energetic combo forward, but hurting the team are the departures of Shelving Mack and Howard. Mack will likely head to the NBA and Matt Howard will surely have a job in Europe, and that’s only if he wants it. It is not irrecoverable to lose two professionals, but that’s not saying it’s easy either; Brad is going to have to continue doing what he’s doing with recruiting and with his hookup. His youth will be on his side, at the tender age of thirty-four, but the coach has his work cut out for him moving forward.
